Adult students

Life is not a one way process. Our actions affect things outside of us; and in turn the outcome of our actions is feedback: information - that we can reflect and learn from. A yoga practice teaches us that sensitivity is necessary for PEACE and contentment, and that our thoughts and perceptions are where this sensitivity begins.

New students welcome

Our next introductory courses are in October 2021. See workshops page for more information. From Monday 20 September, Monday 6pm and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings are available as a drop in class for new students.  If you are a returning student (you have not attended classes in 2021) there is currently a special offer for attendance in these classes.  Valid only until December 11 2021. See more information here. There are also a number of introductory weekend workshops scheduled for January 2022.

For attendance in ongoing timetabled classes, students are encouraged to purchase class cards. Read more about class cards here. For more information about the methods of practice and teaching applied within our school follow this link.

A course rather than a class

We recommend that if you are new to our school community, that you give yourself the best opportunity to learn by starting in an Introductory course. This helps you to put down your expectations of yourself and to settle into the journey of learning. We can all be good 'doers' and there is a time and place for this. Learning to be with our Selves with a little, or lot less pressure is not so common. In a course you will learn progressively and with methodical instruction.  The group of people is the same week to week which allows the group to progress.  In a course you will be introduced to the philosophy and science behind the practice of the postures.

After completing an introductory course students will feel confident to attend classes at the introductory/beginner level, where postures are held longer and sequencing is more diverse.
