Woodgate Beach is on the Qld coast just over an hour drive from Hervey Bay and 40 minutes drive from Bundaberg. If driving along the Bruce highway, Anam Cara studio is 30 minutes from Childers. Woodgate Beach sits within the Burrum Coast National Park. The vista of ocean, sky and sand, backed with paperbark forest that sings with kookaburras, is the perfect location to come on retreat. The studio is purpose built, fully equipped, located in the township of Woodgate and within easy walking distance to a range of wonderful accommodation options. For individuals and couples the Woodgate Beach House complex is excellent value. For those who like to camp NRMA caravan park is a 150 meters away from our front gate. Most accommodation in Woodgate is "holiday house style" - meaning it has a fully equipped kitchen. It also means no room service. There are generally washing machines, but do check. Groceries will need to be purchased at either Hervey Bay, Bundaberg or Childers shopping centers as Woodgate has limited stores.
The location is extremely beautiful and accommodation and travel logistics present a great opportunity for yoga friends across the country and from overseas to coordinate and plan a yoga holiday.
Assistance with accommodation
For the longer retreats we will often pre book a large holiday house about 150 meters away from the studio. It has 5 great rooms, two with twin single beds, one with a double bed, one with a queen bed and another with a queen and ensuite. We book through a real estate agency and cannot guarantee availability.
Costing per person are approximately as follows:
Twin room, 2x single beds $40 per night (or share for $20 per night per person)
1 x double bed. Private room $40 per night
1 x king size bed. Private room $45 per night
1 x king size bed. Private room with ensuite $50 per night
During school holiday season prices double.
